 لاہور ہائیکورٹ میں ہتک عزت بل کیخلاف دائر درخواست پر اعتراض ختم کر کے اسے قابل سماعت قرار دے دیا گیا۔ پنجاب میں ہتک عزت بل کے خلاف درخواست کی سکروٹنی کا عمل مکمل ہوگیاہے۔ درخواست گزار کے وکیل نے قانون سے متعلق نوٹیفکیشن کی کاپی رجسٹرار آفس میں جمع کرا دی۔ رجسٹرار آفس نے درخواست پر اعتراض ختم کر کے اسے قابل سماعت قرار دے دیا۔

ذرائع رجسٹرار آفس کا کہنا ہے کہ درخواست کو کل بروز منگل سماعت کیلئے مقرر کیا جائے گا۔ قبل ازیں لاہور ہائیکورٹ کے رجسٹرار آفس نے ہتک عزت کے قانون کے خلاف درخواست پر اعتراض عائد کیا تھا۔

رجسٹرار آفس کی جانب سے درخواست پر عائد اعتراض میں کہا گیا تھا کہ درخواست گزار کی جانب سے ہتک عزت بل کے قانون کا نوٹیفکیشن لف نہیں گیا۔ جس کے باعث درخواست کو سماعت کیلئے مقرر نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔

Defamation Bill Challenge Deemed Admissible by Lahore High Court. The Lahore High Court has declared the petition against the defamation bill admissible after removing previous objections. The scrutiny process for the petition against the defamation bill in Punjab has been completed. The petitioner’s lawyer submitted a copy of the notification regarding the law to the Registrar’s Office. Consequently the Registrar’s Office removed the objection and deemed the petition fit for hearing.

Hearing Scheduled

The petition will be heard on Tuesday. Initially the Registrar’s Office had raised an objection. Stating that the petition did not include the notification of the defamation bill making it unfit for hearing. With the notification now attached, the objection has been lifted.

Background

The Registrar’s Office previously objected to the petition due to the absence of the defamation bill’s notification. Which was necessary for the case to be scheduled for a hearing. This procedural requirement has now been fulfilled allowing the case to proceed.
