وفاقی وزیر توانائی اویس لغاری میں ملک میں بجلی مہنگے کا اعتراف کرتے ہوئے کہا ہےکہ بجلی کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کا اطلاق یکم جولائی سے ہوگا۔ تاہم اگلے ڈیڑھ سال تک اصلاحات کرکے بجلی کی قیمت کم کرسکیں گے۔
وفاقی وزیر توانائی اویس لغاری نے سینیٹ میں لوڈشیڈنگ سے متعلق سوالات کا جواب دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ نیشنل گریڈ کا کسی صوبے سے کوئی تعلق نہیں۔ نقصانات کی حد رکھنے کے لیے لوڈشیڈنگ کی جا رہی ہے۔ لوڈشیڈنگ کسی صوبے کو دیکھ کر نہیں کی جا رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام آباد الیکٹرک سپلائی کمپنی (آئیسکو) میں لوڈشیڈنگ کے مسائل نہیں ہیں۔ بلوچستان کو 10 ہزار میگاواٹ بجلی دینے کو تیار ہیں۔ بلوچستان میں بجلی کے سالانہ نقصانات 600 ارب روپے ہیں۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ حکومت نے 450 ارب روپے کا نقصان برداشت کیا۔ ایک کروڑ 68 لاکھ کنزیومرز کا خیال کر رہے ہیں۔ انڈسٹری سے 150 ارب روپے کا بوجھ کم کیا۔
اویس لغاری نے کہا کہ بجلی میں اضافے کا اطلاق یکم جولائی سے استعمال پر ہوگا۔ کنزیومرز اوسط 35 روپے فی یونٹ دے رہے ہیں۔ اعتراف کرتا ہوں بجلی کی قیمت زیادہ ہے۔ اگلے ڈیڑھ سال تک اصلاحات کرکے بجلی کی قیمت کم کرسکیں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ بلوچستان سے متعلق وزیراعظم نے آن لائن اجلاس کیا اور کہا کہ بلوچستان انتظامیہ سے اجلاس سولر سے متعلق تھی۔ بلوچستان میں زرعی صارفین کو تین گھنٹے تک بجلی دے رہے ہیں۔ بلوچستان کو 10 ہزار میگاواٹ بجلی دینے کو تیار ہیں مگر پیسے تو ملے۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ نقصانات کم ہونے سے بجلی کی فی یونٹ قیمت میں کمی ہو سکتی ہے۔ حکومت ملک کے لیے 440 ارب روپے کی سبسڈی دے گے۔ دو سے 9 فیصد گھریلو صارفین پر اضافہ ہوگا۔ جنوری کے بعد بجلی کی قیمتیں کم ہوں گی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ گھریلوں صارفین پر 7 سے 9 فیصد کی رینج میں اضافہ ہو گا۔ اڑھائی کروڑ گھریلو صارفین بجلی کی کم قیمت ادا کر رہے ہیں۔ 35 روپے سے کم قیمت دینے والا سبسڈی استعمال کر رہا ہے۔

Electricity Price Increase from July. Federal Minister for Energy Owais Leghari, has acknowledged the increase in electricity prices in the country. Stating that the hike will take effect from July 1st. However he assured that through reforms in the next one and a half years electricity prices could be reduced.
Responding to questions about load shedding in the Senate. Owais Leghari clarified that the national grid is not linked to any specific province. Load shedding is being implemented to keep losses within limits and it is not being targeted at any particular province.
He mentioned that there are no load shedding issues in the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO). The government is ready to supply 10,000 megawatts of electricity to Balochistan. But the annual losses in Balochistan amount to 600 billion rupees.
He stated that the government has borne losses of 450 billion rupees. And is considering the welfare of 16.8 million consumers. The burden on the industry has been reduced by 150 billion rupees.
Owais Leghari noted that the increase in electricity prices will apply from July 1st onwards. Consumers are currently paying an average of 35 rupees per unit. He admitted that the current electricity prices are high but assured that through reforms, prices could be lowered within the next one and a half years.
Regarding Balochistan, the Prime Minister held an online meeting and discussed issues related to solar energy. Agricultural consumers in Balochistan are currently receiving electricity for three hours. While the government is ready to supply 10,000 megawatts of electricity to Balochistan, it requires payment in return.
He added that reducing losses could lead to a decrease in the per-unit price of electricity. The government is providing a subsidy of 440 billion rupees for the country. There will be a 2 to 9 percent increase for domestic consumers, and electricity prices are expected to decrease after January.
Owais Leghari further explained that domestic consumers will see an increase in the range of 7 to 9 percent. Approximately 25 million domestic consumers are currently paying reduced electricity prices. Those paying less than 35 rupees per unit are benefiting from the subsidy.
