Good news for worried consumers due to inflation. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved a reduction in petroleum product prices for the next 15 days. According to sources the price of petrol will be reduced by Rs 5.45 per liter. And diesel by Rs 8.42 per liter.
Additionally the price of light diesel will decrease by Rs 5.63. And kerosene by Rs 8.74 per liter.
Following the approval of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif the Ministry of Finance has issued a notification. The new prices will come into effect from 1st May 2024 at midnight.

مہنگائی سے پریشان عوام کے لیے اچھی خبر ہے کہ وزیراعظم نے آئندہ 15 روز کے لیے پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں کمی کی منظوری دی ہے۔
ذرائع کے مطابق پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 5 روپے 45 پیسے لیٹر اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 8 روپے 42 پیسے فی لیٹر کمی کی منظوری دی گئی ہے۔
لائٹ ڈیزل 5 روپے 63 پیسے اور مٹی کا تیل 8 روپے 74 پیسے فی لیٹر سستا کرنےکی منظوری دی گئی ہے۔
وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کی منظوری کے بعد وزارت خزانہ کی جانب سے نوٹیفکیشن جاری کر دیا گیا ہے۔ نئی قیمتوں کا نفاذ یکم مئی رات بجے سے ہو گا۔
