حکومت نے مہنگائی کے پیش نظر سرکاری ملازمین کو بڑا ریلیف دیتے ہوئے تنخواہوں اور پینشن میں اضافے کا اعلان کر دیا۔ وزیرخزانہ محمد اورنگزیب نے قومی اسمبلی میں آئندہ مالی سال 2004-25 کا بجٹ پیش کرتے ہوئے اعلان کیا کہ گریڈ ایک سے 16 تک کے ملازمین کی تنخواہوں میں25 فیصد اور گریڈ 17 سے 22 تک کی تنخواہوں میں20 فیصد اضافہ کیا جاریا ہے۔
ریٹائرڈ سرکاری ملازمین کی پینشنز میں 15 فیصد اضافہ کیا جارہا ہے جب کہ کم از کم ماہانہ اجرت 32 ہزار سے بڑھا کر 36 ہزار کرنے کر دی گئی ہے۔
وزیر خزانہ نے کہا کہ مالی مشکلات کے باوجود سرکاری ملازمین کی مشکلات کا احساس کیا مہنگائی کی وجہ سے لوگوں کی قوت خرید متاثر ہوئی، پاکستان کو ڈھانچہ جاتی اصلاحات کی ضرورت ہے اصلاحات سےکم شرح نمو کے چکر سے باہر نکالا جا سکےگا، معیشت کو حکومت کی بجائے مارکیٹ بنیاد پر چلنے والی بنایا جائےگا۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ آئی ایم ایف کے نئے پروگرام کی وجہ سے غیریقینی کیفیت تھی، آئی ایم ایف پروگرام میں تاخیر انتہائی مشکلات پیداکرسکتی تھی یہ وقت ہے کہ اپنی معیشت میں پرائیویٹ سیکٹر کو اہمیت دیں

Salary and Pension Increases Announced. In response to rising inflation the government has announced significant relief for government employees by increasing their salaries and pensions. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb made the announcement while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25 in the National Assembly.

Finance Minister Aurangzeb emphasized that despite financial challenges the government is aware of the difficulties faced by its employees due to inflation. Which has adversely affected their purchasing power. He highlighted the need for structural reforms to help Pakistan break out of the low growth cycle. The focus will be on transitioning the economy to be market-driven rather than government driven.
The minister also addressed the uncertainty caused by the new IMF program noting that delays in the program could lead to significant difficulties. He stressed the importance of giving the private sector a more prominent role in the economy during this period.
