بجلی کی قیمت میں حالیہ اضافے کے بعد بجلی کااوسط بنیادی ٹیرف 24 روپے 82پیسے سے بڑھ کر29 روپے 78 پیسے فی یونٹ ہوجائے گا. بجلی کی قیمت میں اضافے کا فیصلہ وفاقی کابینہ نے کرنا ہے. بجلی کی قیمت میں اضافہ ایک ساتھ یا مرحلہ وار کرنے کا فیصلہ وفاقی حکومت کرے گی
نیپرا فیصلے کے مطابق ٹیرف میں اضافے کی وجہ مجموعی طور پر سیلز میں کمی، افراط زر، سود اور کیپسٹی پیمنٹس میں اضافہ ہے. روپے کی قدر میں بہتری اور شرح سود میں کمی کا فائدہ صارفین کو پہنچایا جائے گا. گذشتہ مالی سال وفاقی حکومت نے بجلی کا بنیادی ٹیرف 7روپے 91 پیسے فی یونٹ بڑھایا تھا. اور مالی سال 2022-23 میں بجلی کے بنیادی ٹیرف میں اضافہ تین مراحل میں کیا گیا تھا۔

In the previous fiscal year the federal government had increased the basic tariff for electricity to Rs. 7.91 per unit. And in the fiscal year 2022-23 the tariff increase was implemented in three stages.
