The Prime Minister lauded the work of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council and appreciated the important role of Pakistani workers based in Saudi Arabia, saying that “bilateral ties have been further strengthened by the people.” The Prime Minister mentioned to the Saudi delegation the difficulties faced by Pakistani citizens due to travel restrictions and also thanked the administration for providing vaccinations to Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia.
The two countries discussed the situation in Corona in South Asia and the situation in Afghanistan in detail, the statement said. The Prime Minister stressed the need for constructive dialogue among Afghan parties and said that peace on Afghan soil was essential for peace and stability in the region.
