Pakistan’s Satellite Mission to the Moon Launched Today from China
Pakistan’s satellite mission to the moon has launched today from China. The team of Pakistani experts was present at the Hainan Space Launch Site. When it was sent into space. The first satellite mission of Pakistan named I-Qube1 has been sent to the moon. According to Pakistani time this historic moment occurred on May 3rd at 2:18 PM. When it was launched from the Hainan Space Launch Site in China.
During the launch the Pakistani team sang the national anthem on the launch site. And cheered with enthusiasm. The launch time for the space mission was initially set for 12:50 PM. But due to weather conditions the timing was adjusted for the launch of Chang E-6 mission. All final checks and rehearsals for Chang E-6 mission were completed before the final countdown.
Dr. Khurram Khurshid a member of the Institute of Space Technology’s core committee explained that I-Qube1’s design and development were done in collaboration with China and Suparco. It is equipped with two cameras to capture images of the moon’s surface.
The weight of Pakistan’s artificial satellite will be 7 kilograms. And it will orbit the moon. The images obtained from this mission will be used for research purposes.
I-Qube1 attached to China’s Chang E-6 mission. It has 2 optical cameras to capture images of the moon’s surface. After a 5 days journey Chang E-6 will reach near the moon. And I-Qube1 will orbit the moon’s lower orbit. The satellite will orbit around the moon for 3 to 6 months.
I-Qube1 will capture images of the lunar south pole. And the initial data will be received by the Chinese space agency. Later this data will also be received by Suparco and the Institute of Space Technology in Pakistan. The Chinese mission Chang E-6 aims to collect samples from the moon a design by Pakistani scientists.
According to Chinese experts the weather conditions are favourable. And the mission is expected to reach the moon at the scheduled time. In this regard the director of the Institute of Space Technology Shafqat Ali said that this mission will prove fruitful for future projects.
Dr. Khurram Khurshid expressed his happiness stating that we are very pleased and hopeful that this mission to the moon will be successful. We congratulate the entire Pakistan on the satellite launch. Our satellite will reach the moon in the next 5 days.

چاند پر پاکستان کا پہلا سیٹلائٹ مشن آج چین سے روانہ ہو گیا۔ ہینان اسپیس لانچ سائٹ سے خلا میں بھیجے جانے کے وقت پاکستان کے ماہرین کی ٹیم اسپیس سینٹر میں موجود تھی۔ پاکستان کا پہلا سیٹلائٹ مشن ’’آئی کیوب قمر‘‘ کو چاند پر روانہ کر دیا گیا۔ یہ تاریخی لمحہ پاکستان کے وقت کے مطابق 3 مئی کی دوپہر 2 بج کر 18 منٹ پر چین کے ہینان اسپیس لانچ سائٹ سے خلا میں بھیجا گیا۔
اس موقع پر پاکستان کے ماہرین کی ٹیم اسپیس سینٹر میں موجود تھی۔ سیٹلائٹ مشن کی روانگی کے وقت لانچ سائیڈ پر پاکستان کا قومی ترانہ پڑھا گیا۔ اور نعرہ تکبیر سے ہال گونج اٹھا۔ اس موقع پر پاکستان کے ماہرین کی ٹیم اسپیس سینٹر میں موجود تھی۔ سیٹلائٹ مشن کی روانگی کے وقت لانچ سائیڈ پر پاکستان کا قومی ترانہ پڑھا گیا اور نعرہ تکبیر سے ہال گونج اٹھا۔
خلائی مشن کو پہلے دوپہر 12 بج کر 50 منٹ پر بھیجا جانا تھا تاہم موسم کی صورتحال کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے ہوئے چانگ ای 6 کی روانگی کا وقت تبدیل کر دیا گیا ۔ اور فائنل کاؤنٹ ڈاؤن سے قبل چانگ ای 6 مشن تمام فائنل چیکس اور ریہرسلز بھی مکمل کی گئیں۔
انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کی کور کمیٹی کے رکن ڈاکٹر خرم خورشید نے بتایا کہ آئی کیوب قمر کا ڈیزائن اور ڈیویلپمنٹ چین اور سپارکو کے اشتراک سے تیار کیا گیا۔ اس میں چاند کی تصاویر بنانے کے لیے آئی کیوب قمر میں دو کیمرے نصب ہیں۔
پاکستان کے مصنوعی سیارے کا وزن 7 کلو ہوگا اور چاند کے مدارکے چکر کاٹے گا ۔ اس مشن سے لی جانے والی تصاویر تحقیقی مقاصد میں کام آئیں گی۔
پاکستان کی سیٹلائٹ آئی کیوب قمر چینی مشن سے ساتھ منسلک ہے۔ 7 کلو گرام وزنی آئی کیوب کیو 2 آپٹیکل کیمروں سے لیس ہے جو چاند کی سطح کی تصاویر لے گا۔ چانگ ای 6 مشن 5 دن کا سفر کر کے چاند کے قریب پہنچے گا اور آئی کیوب قمر چاند کے زیریں مدار میں گردش کرے گا۔ سیٹلائٹ 3 سے 6 ماہ تک چاند کے اطراف چکر لگائے گا
آئی کیوب قمر جنوبی قطب کی تصاویر بنائے گا اور اس کا ابتدائی ڈیٹا چینی خلائی ادارے میں موصول ہوگا۔ جب کہ یہ یہ ڈیٹا پاکستان میں اسپارکو اور انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی کو بھی موصول ہو گا۔ چینی مشن چانگ ای سکس کا مقصد چاند سے نمونے جمع کرنا ہے۔ آئی کیوب قمر پاکستانی سائنس دانوں نے ڈیزائن کیا ہے۔
چینی ماہرین کے مطابق موسم کی صورتحال بہتر ہے اور مشن مقررہ وقت پر چاند پر پہنچے گا۔ اس حوالے سے ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اسپیس ٹیکنالوجی شفاعت علی نے کہا کہ یہ مشن آئندہ منصوبے کیلیے کار آمد ثابت ہوگا۔
ڈاکٹر خرم خورشید نے کہا کہ ہم بہت خوش ہیں اور پوری امید ہے کہ چاند کا یہ مشن کامیاب ہوگا۔ سیٹلائٹ لانچ ہونے پر پورے پاکستان کو مبارک دیتے ہیں۔ اگلے 5 دن میں ہمارا سیٹلائٹ چاند پر پہنچ جائے گا۔
