ہیلمٹ نہ پہننے والوں پر جرمانہ 2000 روپے کرنے کا فیصلہ کرلیا گیا. دو ہفتوں کے دوران 2 لاکھ 23 ہزارسے زائد شہریوں کے چالان کئے گئے. تفصیلات کے مطابق لاہور ٹریفک پولیس نےہیلمٹ نہ پہننے والوں کے خلاف جرمانے میں اضافہ کرتے ہوئے ایکشن مزید سخت کردیا۔
شہر بھر میں بغیر ہیلمٹ موٹرسائیکل چلانے والوں کے خلاف کریک ڈاؤن میں تیزی آگئی. دو ہفتوں کے دوران دو لاکھ تئیس ہزارسے زائد شہریوں کو چالان تھمائے گئے. جبکہ تقریباً پچاس ہزار موٹرسائیکلیں ضبط کی گئیں۔
ٹریفک پولیس حکام نے چالان کی مد میں جرمانہ بڑھانے کا بھی عندیہ دے دیا ہے. آئندہ چند روز میں ہیلمٹ نہ پہننے پر دو ہزارروپے کا چالان ہوگا۔
دوسری جانب پابندی کے دوران ہیلمٹ کی قیمتوں بھی اضافہ دیکھنے میں آرہا ہے. ہیلمٹ کم ازکم سات سو سے تین ہزار روپے میں فروخت ہونے لگا ہے. چیف ٹریفک آفیسرکا کہنا ہے ہیلمٹ کی قیمتیں کنٹرول کرنے کےلیےاقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔
Those who Do Not Wear Helmets Should Be Ready Now For New Fine
People not wearing helmets will now face a fine of 2,000 rupees as decided by the authorities. During the past two weeks more than 223,000 citizens were fined for riding motorcycles without helmets in Lahore. The Traffic Police has intensified actions against those not wearing helmets.
A crackdown on motorcycle riders without helmets has been carried out throughout the city. Resulting in more than 230,000 individuals being issued traffic fines over the course of two weeks. Additionally approximately 50,000 motorcycles were seized.
The traffic police officials have announced an intention to increase the fine for helmet violations in the future. Within the next few days a fine of 2,000 rupees will be imposed on those caught not wearing helmets.
On the other hand there has been a noticeable increase in helmet prices during this period of strict enforcement. Helmets are now being sold for a minimum of 700 to 3,000 rupees. The Chief Traffic Officer has stated that measures are being taken to control helmet prices.
