وفاقی حکومت نے رات کے اندھیرے میں عوام پر بجلی گرادی. بجلی 7 روپے 50 پیسے فی یونٹ مہنگی کردی گئی. بنیادی ٹیرف میں 3 سے 7 روپے 50 پیسے فی یونٹ اضافہ کردیا گیا۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق وفاقی حکومت نے رات کے اندھیرے میں بجلی کی قیمت میں حیرت انگیز اضافہ کردیا. فی یونٹ بجلی 7 روپے 50 پیسے فی یونٹ مہنگی کردی گئ. بجلی کے بنیادی ٹیرف میں 3 سے 7 روپے 50 پیسے فی یونٹ اضافہ کیا گیا ہے. کابینہ نے سرکولیشن کے ذریعے سمری کی منظوری دے دی. نیپرا رواں مالی سال کیلئے بجلی کے ٹیرف میں اضافے کی منظوری پہلے ہی دے چکا ہے۔
حکومت نے بنیادی قیمت میں اضافے کی درخواست نیپرا میں دائر کردی ہے. نیپرا اب وفاقی حکومت کی درخواست پر سماعت کے بعد فیصلہ دے گا. نیپرا کے فیصلے کے بعد وفاقی حکومت بجلی کی قیمت میں اضافے کا نوٹیفکیشن جاری کرے گی۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق بجلی کی قیمت میں اضافے کا اطلاق یکم جولائی 2023ء سے کرنے کی تجویز ہے۔
درخواست میں 100 یونٹ والے گھریلو صارفین کیلئے بجلی 3 روپے فی یونٹ مہنگی کرنے کی تجویز ہے. جبکہ 101یونٹ سے 200 یونٹ تک استعمال کرنیوالے صارفین کیلئے بنیادی ٹیرف میں 4 روپے فی یونٹ اضافہ مانگا گیا ہے۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق 201 سے 300 یونٹ والے صارفین کیلئے 5 روپے 301 سے 400 یونٹ والے صارفین کیلئے 6.50 روپے اضافے کی درخواست کی گئی ہے. اور 400 سے 700 یونٹ تک استعمال کرنیوالے صارفین کیلئے بنیادی ٹیرف میں ساڑھے 7 روپے اضافے کی درخواست کی گئی ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ نیشنل الیکٹرک اینڈ پاور ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (نیپرا) نے دو روز قبل مئی کے مہینے کیلئے بجلی کی قیمت میں 1.90 روپے اضافے کی منظوری دیتے ہوئے نوٹیفکیشن جاری کیا تھا
The Government Has Increased Electricity Prices
The government has increased electricity prices on the public during the darkness of the night. The federal government raised the electricity price to 7.50 rupees per unit. Adding 3 to 7.50 rupees per unit to the basic tariff.
According to the report the federal government surprisingly increased the electricity price during the darkness of the night. Electricity is now priced at 7.50 rupees per unit. An increase of 3 to 7.50 rupees per unit on the basic tariff. The cabinet approved this increase through circulation. And NEPRA has already granted approval for the electricity tariff hike for the coming fiscal year.
The government has submitted a request to NEPRA for the increase in the basic price. And NEPRA will decide after a hearing on the government’s request. Following NEPRA’s decision the federal government will issue a notification for the electricity price hike.
The proposed implementation date for the electricity price increase is July 1, 2023.
The request suggests raising electricity prices to 3 rupees per unit for households consuming up to 100 units. And for users consuming 101 to 200 units an additional 4 rupees per unit is requested on the basic tariff.
According to the report, the request for an increase of 5 rupees for users consuming 201 to 300 units. Also 6.50 rupees for users consuming 301 to 400 units. And an additional 7 rupees for users consuming 400 to 700 units on the basic tariff has been made.
It should be noted that the National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) had issued a notification approving a 1.90 rupee increase in electricity prices two days before the month of May.
