Pakistan Receives $1.1 Billion from IMF A Boost to Pakistan’s Economy
Pakistan Receives $1.1 Billion from IMF. According to the spokesperson for the State Bank has announced that the IMF Executive Board has completed the second review under the Stand By Arrangement.State Bank reports that the IMF has approved $1.1 billion for Pakistan.
The spokesperson states that this amount will reflect in the State Bank’s foreign exchange reserves by the end of the week on May 3, 2024. It is noteworthy that the IMF Board had approved the final tranche of $1.1 billion for Pakistan yesterday.
The Ministry of Finance had informed that the final tranche of $1.1 billion from the IMF could be received on Tuesday. After the IMF gave the green signal post approval.
Pakistan participated particularly in the IMF Executive Board meeting yesterday. Pakistan had obtained a $3 billion Stand By Program on July 12, 2023.
During the PTI government’s tenure in July 2023 $1.2 billion were received. And during the tenure of the previous government in January 2024, $700 million were received.It is to be remembered that Pakistan has received $1.9 billion in the Stand By Loan Program.

ترجمان اسٹیٹ بینک کا کہنا ہے کہ آئی ایم ایف ایگزیکٹو بورڈ نے اسٹینڈ بائی ارینجمنٹ کے تحت دوسرا جائزہ مکمل کرلیا ہے۔اسٹیٹ بینک کا بتانا ہے کہ آئی ایم ایف نے پاکستان کے لیے 1.1 ارب ڈالر کی رقم منظور کی ہے۔
ترجمان کا بتانا ہے کہ 3 مئی 2024 کو ہفتے کے اختتام پر اسٹیٹ بینک کے زرمبادلہ ذخائر میں یہ رقم ظاہر ہوگی۔
واضح رہے کہ گزشتہ روز آئی ایم ایف بورڈ نے پاکستان کے لیے 1.1 ارب ڈالر کی آخری قسط کی منظوری دی تھی۔
وزارت خزانہ ذرائع کا بتانا تھا کہ آئی ایم ایف سے 1.1 ارب ڈالر کی آخری قسط منگل کو موصول ہو سکتی ہے جس کا آئی ایم ایف نے منظوری کے بعد گرین سگنل دے دیا ہے۔
آئی ایم ایف ایگزیکٹو بورڈ اجلاس میں گزشتہ روز پاکستان خصوصی طور پر شریک ہوا تھا۔ پاکستان نے 12 جولائی 2023 کو 3 ارب ڈالر کا اسٹینڈبائی پروگرام حاصل کیا تھا۔
جولائی 2023 میں پی ڈی ایم دور حکومت میں 1.2 ارب ڈالر موصول ہوئے تھے۔ جنوری 2024 میں نگراں حکومت کے دور میں 70 کروڑ ڈالر موصول ہوئے۔
یاد رہے کہ پاکستان کو اسٹینڈبائی قرض پروگرام میں 1.9 ارب ڈالر موصول ہو چکے ہیں۔
